In 1818 it is Kari but the same thing in 1816 on p. 38 for Ole.

Seem to be striking out here. I don't think there is a Bygdebok for Svennes area which I think includes the Riste, Svenhelden and Fodness farms.

This baptism of Kari is in Oct 1796 and the parents seem to be married in June 1796. I suppose the reason there is a dispute? is support but they are married???

Since it seems that the farm comes between Gjøvik and Toten, maybe each census enumerator thought the other district was going to do that farm and so they didn't show up in either area's census.

I was thinking to look for the family (people) under Gjovik in the 1801 census but there isn't a place there (but in 1865 there is). What town would Gjovik come under in 1801? I suppose it is Toten which makes a search redundant.

Again, I am amazed at the amount of information that is available. It would have taken me a long time to go through all the parish records to find these events. Now I can go to the 1801 census and glean information from there and then back to the parish records.

I found the baptism (#30) for a Sussanna on 13 Jul 1822 which shows parents are Hendrich Meyer Ovalem? and Marie Benedicta. No patronym, so I'm at a loss what to look for in the 1801 census. There isn't a Gard by the name of Ovalem or Gvalem or Gralem.

I found Osten's confirmation on 20 Apr 1817 in Kongsberg which showed that he 16 and was baptised on 7 Apr 1801. I went to the records for baptism but there is nothing to be found on 7 Apr 1801. I don't believe that 7 Apr 1801 was a Sunday but that may not mean anything. Any idea where to look ...

Yes, now that makes sense. I assumed that the Marthe Poulsdatter that married Simen Olsen was from Wiig despite there being a 2 year difference in age.
