The 1890 Danish Census for Nakskov contained the following information.
Nakskov 1890 Matrikel nr. 339-342 - Kattesundet, Forhuset
Adolf Bengt Gunnarsen (born in) Svendborg, Fyn, typograf - 29 aar
Metha Marie, F. Pedersen (born in) Rudkoebing, Langeland - 23 aar
Johanne Cathrine Gunnarsen, born in Nakskov - 1 aar
Johanne was my grandmother who came to the US in the early 1900's.
I was advised that the Gunnarsen home in Nakskov was still standing.
Does the census indicate an address in Nakskov?
Regards...Bob Rasmussen

Re: Danish Translation Please
Thanks, Hugh... can you tell by the construction if this home could be
the original from about 1900? My grandmother was 14 when she
arrived in the US.
Thank You...Bob
