Can't Open File

I have recently been sent a .ftm file in the cause of researching my family
which I can't open.

1) I assume this is a Family Tree file
2) Does anyone know of a freeware or shareware converstion program to
convert this into a Gedcom so I can open it.

Alternativelt is there SKS on this list that could do this form me.
