Ytteroy, Ytteroen, Vaerran, Verran????

I have ancestors from Leksvik and one sibling of my great,great grandfather has been difficult to find. I think that I have found her living at Saltboden in Ytteroen, Nord- Trondelag in the 1865 census.

I ordered the Ytteroy film from the Mormons but cannot find any births of the children or marriage of Berit (Maria) Andersdatter and Christopher Pedersen.
I am thinking that the "town" name is not the right name or spelling even though no other "Ytt???" came up for Norway in the Mormon database. The film I have is #0307073 which includes Verran which is the Sokn on the census of 1865.
The parish records state at the beginning of the film they are for Ytteroens Prestegjeld, Indherreds Provstie???? 1843 - 1868 and (half way through the film) for Ytteroens Hovedsogn of Ytteroen Prestegjeld and Nordre Indherred? I forget what Provstie means but I think it is a smaller parish in the Ytteroens Prestgjeld.

I clicked on that and put in "Ytt" and got a bunch of links in Sweden and one in Norway (Ytteroy). If you go to this link, you can click on View Film Notes and see the different films for the different timeframes. I want the years from about 1840-1880 which all seem to come on one film, mentioned above.

I want to try to find out if Berit (Maria) Andersdatter 42 in the 1865 census is the brother to my great great grandfather. Not sure if I will be able to tell except by the marriage record (fathers' names??). Normally the marriage record should be under the Leksvik parish records but it isn't. I haven't been able to find her confirmation either and no death record as far as I can tell.

Her baptised name was Berit Maria born to Anders Nielsen and Ane Marta Johnsdatter Wingetroen in 1824.

Which parish film would get me to the records that match the 1865 census of Ytteroen?
Levanger?

I do not know the availability of church records for that area but the genealogy data base DIStreff has a record of Beret Marie Andersdatter Vingtrøen f.1824 Leksvik, Nord-Trøndelag and her siblings.

I can't seem to get onto that site and I sent you an email to your address but forgot to include the data. I had been asking about Beret Marie Andersdatter Vinge from Leksvik who I think moved to Ytteroen and married there. I can't seem to find Ytteroen parish records to match the census of 1865.

Hi David..

Verran was a parish under Ytterøy prestegjeld from Desember 1766. I can't find any of the children of Christopher Pedersen and Berit Andersdatter born or/and baptised in the main parish Ytterøy or in the Mosvik parish. Therefor they have to be in churchbook number 744.A02, book 8 Ytterøy prestegjeld, Verran parish 1843-1866. The number of the film is NT-72.

I find Christopher born on February 17. in Verran and bapist in Verran church on March 24. in 1822. His parents: Peder Christophersen Voldsethøren under Voldset and his wife Ellen Eriksdatter, page 32 in book 5 Ytterøy prestegjeld, Verran parish, 1817-1842. I have churchbooks for Ytterøy from 1692 to 1842 here at home, if you want more info about Peder's ancesters, just let me know.
