Searching for a possible marriage record for Øystein Nilsson born 1810 on the Marheim farm in Tinn. He is the son of Nils Sondresson and Kari Øysteinsdatter. In 1842 he emigrated to USA and according to the 1850 USA census he is married to Kari Knutsdatter and has two daughters Ingeborg (Emily) age 20 and Birtha (Betsy) 13. These may be his wife's daughters from a previous marriage but don't know.
Thank you for any and all help you can give me.

Is this the family in the 1850 census, in Manchester, Boone, IL?

Peter Nelson M 40 Norway
Caroline Nelson F 51 Norway
Emily Nelson F 20 Norway
Betsey Nelson F 13 Norway

https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:M85J-C29

In the attached original, the name is Osten, not Peter

It looks like Østens younger brother, Niels, is living in the next house over (family 52)
Nels Nelson Male 30 Norway
Gertrude Nelson Female 21 Norway
Caroline Nelson Female 3 Illinois
Betsey Nelson Female 1 Illinois

Maybe Niels and his Getrude married the same place as Østen

Yes, that is the family.

We are collecting information about early emigrants - where they came from and where they ended up in USA, plus where their spouses came from and etc...so thank you very much for your help.
