Jørgen Hansen was born 25 March 1831 in Lesja, Norway. His parents Hans Johannesen Tøndevold and Kari Maartensdatter Haavanch married 8 June 18115. Sisters and brothers: 1) Johannes b. 6 January 1817, 2) Martin b. 29 November 1819, 3) Kari b. 8 March 1822, 4) Hans b. 3 September 1824, 5) Kari b. 1 Januaru 2817 6) Ole b. 25 October 1828, 7) Brith b. 4 April 1834. Jørgen was confirmed in 1845 and moved to Trondheim, Norway 25 February 1847 to become a painter. 21 May 1849 he moved to Christiania (Oslo), Norway and there he was married 18 November 1855 to Ane Oline Hansdatter (b. 18 December 1829). In 1865 they lived there and had the address Toldbodgaden 29. He worked as a painter. They had these children: Karoline b. 29 April 1858, Hans Jørgen b. 25 November 1860 and Kathinka Josefine Amalie b. 30 October 1864. Pauline Hansen b 1852 and Ole Hatterem (b. 1843 also from Lesja) lived together with them. 25 April 1867 they got another daughter: Lorentze Viktoria. 28 April 1874 Anne Oline Hansen died at Kroghstøtten Hospital and her her address was Mellomgaden 2 in Pibervigen (Oslo). The hospital paid for the funeral. The city of Christiania took care of the children Hans Jørgen, Katinka Josefine Amalie and Lorentze Viktoria. The protocol says that the mother is dead and the father has left for America. In 1875 the son Hans Jørgen Hansen b. 1860 lived by another family in Nordbygaden 50 in Christiania. Nothing is found about the daughter Karoline b.1858 or the other person Pauline Hansen b. 1852. The daughters Kathinka and Lorentze lived in Christiania (Oslo) later. Is it possible to find where Jørgen Hansen go in America and what happened to him over there? Somebody whow can help? Thank you.
