I am trying to find out exactly hwo her father, Ole Olsen, was. This is the information about Ole and his family (with help from Vigdis Brenna and Else Rustad!):

...Huusmandsenke Elen Marie Anderstr, 38 Aar, p.t. Bratlie under St(ore) Steensrud, givt Mand Ole Olsen, circa 44 Aar, som har kjøbt et Stykk. Jord af Grden Gjesrud.


...Opgaven Skeet af Barnemoderen, hendes Mand Andreas Enersen d. 18.3.68 paa Ladegaardsøen og efterlod 3 Børn, 11 -6 Aar. Moderen understøttes af Fattigvæsenet med 6 s ugentlig. Barnefaderen har 7 Børn, af hvilke 3 ere voxne, hans Kones Navn er Marie. Barnemoderen læser meget godt hun har været sindssvag og paa Gaustad.


Can anyone help tell me more about Ole Olsen and his wife Marie? I do understand what it says about him having 7 children and his wife being sick.

He (Ole Olsen) was married to a woman named Marie, and had 7 children, 3 of them were adults. It was not his wife (Marie) who had been sick, but the mother of Anne.

Thank you again, Else. I understood that wrong. That would explain why she was not with the family in 1865.
