Her er han,foreldre og søsken i 1900.

Jeg finner heller ikke hans dåp i Kirkebøkene,
så det er kanskje mulig familien var i en menighet?

Håper noen kan hjelpe meg med og finne hans dåp
og når han reiste til Usa.

Maybe you do not know the answer to this..
But do you know which borough (county) on Long Island they lived??.
Queens, Kings (Brooklyn), Bronx??..then further east on Long Island are Nassau and Suffolk.
Since there are SO many people there...it would be helpful if you know more about where on Long Island they lived.
It looks like he is (was) a seaman...so I am guessing Queens or Brooklyn would be a good "guess"!

I do not know where he lived, but his wife called Hjørdis/Gerdis,
His children called,
Jean - James and Christine.

Nicolai Alfred also had a brother who traveled to Usa.
His name was Adolf Bertinius Antonsen.

Oh I am quite sure that is the correct Adolph Antonsen in WW 1 draft record. (about 1917)

He was born in Larvik. (so that is correct...right?)
He is working in Brooklyn (Kings county) for E.W.Bliss company. (I think he registered for the draft in New York City,= NY,NY)
This is a side note...my father worked for E.W. Bliss during WW 2 (this company made military parts for machines)...then my father was sent to England during the war.

Need to do some more looking!

But it is not easy to find Nicolai Alfred.
He has to be registered somewhere?

Maybe he changed his name?

When he became a father to Signe in 1908 he was just 15 years,
and he and his parents were members of a church,
and there they were very spiritual.
Maybe he was told by the church that he had to go?

I see that your last name is Dahl, Patty.
It's very Norwegian.

I am glad to help...but it is hard to find Nicolai.
I wonder if we can find Adolph at the Ellis Island Records site.
If Nicolai emigrated first, maybe Adolph would list him at the Ellis Island site..."going to see brother" etc....
Yes, Jan Samuel, my name,Dahl, is Norwegian...but it is my married name...I have been working on learning norsk over the past 12 years....my husband's Norwegian cousin got me interested in Norwegian and genealogy....I am Irish, Polish and German by heritage.

We will continue the search!
Oh....and my grandmother lived in Nassau county...near Hempstead!...where Adoph lived!!
