Anton T Skjolden

Anton Torbjørnsen Skjolden dro til amerika, men jeg klarer ikke finne året han emigrerte. I følge muntlige kilder skal han ha reist en gang sist i 1890-årene... De mener han ble gift og at han en tid arbeidet i Yukon, Canada. Senere i Alaska. Bilde familien har av Anton er tatt i Grand Forks, Nord Dakota... Jeg er usikker på etternavnet han brukte. På et bilde av han i amerika står det Anton Thompson, men han kan også ha brukt Bolstad.

Hei! Kunne vært fint med noen flere opplysninger fra Norge. Ser han er født utenfor ekteskap, giftet foreldrene seg senere? Hvor vokste han opp, konfirmert, søsken etc?

Anton Thompson b. Sept 1875 (I know that is off by one month), 1900 census Grand Forks,ND

He emigrated 1899 and works in a brick factory...not married.


There is also an Anton Thompson who applied for Naturalization in Grand Forks Sept 12, 1904
(This is from the NDSU research site)

Jeg har sett det i ei bygdebok. Der står det at Anton var gift og bodde enten i Canada eller Alaska, men reiste så trolig til Florida. Han ble så borte for familien. Ellers er det muntlig kilde fra en amerikaner som har informasjon fra etterslekta til Antons halvbror.

Det finnes to stykker hos Ancestry.com, og den andre med "mom Brocket, ND" er trolig en feiltranskribering.
