Shirley A. Pederson, 78, a resident of Care Partners Assisted Living in Eau Claire and formerly of 501 Goldsmith St., Chippewa Falls, died Sunday evening, January 14, 2007, at Care Partners with Northwest Wisconsin HomeCare.

She was born April 7, 1928, in Chippewa Falls to Alma (Rasmussen) and Conrad Pederson. She was baptized and confirmed at Central Lutheran Church and graduated from Chippewa Falls Senior High School in 1945.

Shirley was employed at Montgomery Ward, in the offices of National Presto Industries and in the administration building of Chippewa Falls Public Schools until her retirement. She was a charter member of Christ Lutheran Church in Chippewa Falls.

Survivors include a brother, Wesley (Valeria) Pederson, of Chippewa Falls; a sister-in-law, Doris Pederson, of Altoona; nieces and nephews; and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother and sisters-in-law, Lester and Ruth Pederson, Irene Pederson and Naomi Pederson; brother, Verlyn Pederson; sister and brother-in-law, Doris and Cliff Dorr; and sister and brother-in-law, Elaine and Merle Johnson.

A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, January 19, 2007, at Christ Lutheran Church with Pastor Mark Homp officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery, Chippewa Falls.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service Friday at the church.

Memorials to Christ Lutheran Church in Shirley's memory would be appreciated.

Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel in Chippewa Falls is serving the family.

Clifford E. Dorr (August 11, 1920 – June 1978)[1] was a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly.
Biography

Dorr was born in New Auburn, Wisconsin.[2] He went on to served in the United States Army during World War II.[3] From 1955 to 1959, he was Sheriff of Chippewa County, Wisconsin.
Political career

Dorr was elected to the Assembly in 1958. He was a Democrat.

Valeria M. Pederson, 80, of 18650 78th Ave., Chippewa Falls, town of Lafayette, died Thursday, April 12, 2007, at Luther Hospital in Eau Claire.

She was born September 24, 1926, in Chippewa Falls, the daughter of Joseph and Helen (Zwiefelhofer) Tichey. She married Wesley A. Pederson on December 28, 1946, in St. Charles Church, Chippewa Falls. She had worked for the Chippewa County Jail as a cook while her husband was the sheriff, and for Chippewa Woolen Mill, Sears Catalog Company, Seyforth's Super Value and Woolworth's Dime Store.

She was a member of Notre Dame Church.

She loved being with her grandkids when they played ball, and with her great-grandkids; she also enjoyed nature and flowers.

She will be missed by all of us.

She is survived by her husband, Wesley; one son, Stephen (Jackie), of Chippewa Falls; one daughter, Susan Sharp, of Chippewa Falls; four sisters, Herena Burkett of Port Angeles, Wash., Albina (Clarence) Bowe, Helen (Frank) Fijalkiewicz and Viola (Lee) Kelly, all of Chippewa Falls; four grandchildren, Amy Audorff, Nicole Sorenson, Justin Pederson and Eric Sharp; and four great-grandchildren, Ivy Audorff, Tyler Pederson and Connor and Spensor Sharp.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Joseph Tichey; and one sister, Rose Marie Yakesh.

Family and friends may express online condolences at horanfuneralhome.com.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, April 16, 2007, at Notre Dame Church in Chippewa Falls. The Rev. Brian J. Jazdzewski will be celebrant of the funeral Mass. Entombment will be in Hope Mausoleum, Chippewa Falls.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, April 15, 2007, and until 2 p.m. Monday at Horan Funeral Home, Chippewa Falls. The Ladies of Notre Dame will recite the rosary at 4 p.m. and there will be a Christian vigil service at 7:30 p.m., both on Sunday at the funeral home.
