According to Bygdebok for Dyroy Morten Mortensen was born ab.1747. He came from Gudbrandsdalen (Oppland) around 1790 and settled on a part of Lille Vinje. His wife Berit Kristensdatter was born ab.1760 and came from Røros, Sør Trøndelag. They were married in 1793 and had two daughters born there. Shortly after 1802 the family left Lille Vinje (due to poverty) and settled at Mikkelbostad before they moved to Kastnes around 1805. Berit Kristensdatter died 1809 and Morten Mortensen died 1811.
May I inquire a bit further? Is the name of the other daughter available? Is there an indication of the family's ethnicity? Is the source of the information that you found available digitally so that I may look further or obtain a screen shot as documentation?

I forgot to answer your questions! Sorry!
The bygdebok is not available on the internet, at least not yet. No records of ethneticy, but they were most certainly Norwegians, not Sami, (or Laplenders) as they came from Gudbrandsdalen and Røros in southern Norway.
I am using the digital archives, and am getting better at it, but it still takes me a long time to find things. I wish the family had continued to use some Norwegian. it would probably be a little easier if I knew the language.
I am given to understand that Roros is a known Southern Sami area. The Sami moved with their reindeer from Jamtland across the border. My mother and I have the Sami look, different from other family members. I think there are marks by two of my great great grandfathers in the kirkbok that indicate Sami, but I am not sure. I am not looking for it specifically though. I mostly just want to put the family record together, whatever it may be. Thank you, again for your help.
There weren't many Berit born at Røros in the right period, and this one wasn't at Røros in 1801. The given age in Censuses could vary several years +/- real age.
Dyrøy bygdebok just say that Elisabeth Dorthea Mortensdatter married Kornelius Larsen, and that he had been working at Kastnes since 1811. No info of children or where they settled.
According to Dyrøy bygdebok, Cornelius Larsen and Elisabeth Dorthea Mortensdatter moved to Tromsø after marriage in 1825. In 1826 they got a son Morten BP Corneliussen born in Tromsø. In Folketellingen 1865 Cornelius lives with his son Morten in Bakkegaden, Tromsø. However, Elisabeth is not there, I assume she is dead.
Golla Jørgensdatter, daughter of Abel Maria (sister of Elisabeth) moved from Rotvik (Salangen) to live with her aunt Elisabeth in Tromsø after that Abel Maria died autumn 1839. Golla was according to her daughter Inga Marie Pettersens (my grand grand mother) notice in her bible 3.5 years when she moved to Tromsø.
From this I assume that Elisabeth died sometime between 1840 and 1865, and in Tromsø? I am looking but have not so fare found death day for Elisabeth.
