Age 82 passed away on 10/21/08 in Gig Harbor. He was born on 11/27/1925 in
Arlington. Mr. Peretti was a 40 year employee of the Boeing company. Survived by his
wife, Eva Peretti; daughters, Ruth Tangen, Cathy Wolf, Sharon Ryals; son, Steve
Peretti; brothers, Gene, Roland, David & Robert Peretti; sisters, Barbara Johnson &
Karen Sanderson; 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Funeral Service will be
held on Monday, 10/27/08 at 1pm at Yahn and Son Funeral Home followed by burial
at Mt. View Cemetery in Auburn. Please sign the family's online guest book

Jack Peretti

Giovanni Battista (Jack Bernard) Peretti and Edna Violet Severson met on the shores of Puget Sound below Fort Lawton in the early 1920’s. Settling in Arlington, Washington, their first child, Jack Richard, was born on November 27, 1925. He was followed by six more children – Gene, Roland, Barbara, Karen, David and Robert.

Jack attended Whitman Elementary School, Franklin High School, and Broadway High School. The Peretti family was among the founding families of Brighton Gospel Tabernacle, which was started in a one room schoolhouse in south Seattle.

Jack graduated in 1946 from Northwest Bible Institute, now known as Northwest University. In 1945, he met and married the love of his life, Eva Mae Tague. They have 4 children – Ruth, Cathy, Sharon and Steve; 9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

After working for a glove manufacturer and a box factory, Jack joined the Boeing Airplane Company in 1951 and continued to work for them until retiring in 1991. In 1983, Jack was recognized as Boeing Marine Division Supervisor of the Year.

Both Jack and Eva have been very active in their church life. As they moved with their growing family around the country for Boeing, their first priority was to establish a church home where the family could serve and worship together.

Jack and Eva have shared a love for travel and adventure, but have always found their greatest joy in combining this love with their passion for serving the Lord. They were very active in MAPS RV Volunteers, where Jack served as Regional Coordinator for both the Northwest District and the Arizona District of the Assemblies of God.

Memorials may be donated to Northwest University, Kirkland, WA in lieu of flowers.
