After much trial and error, I found the above person in the Kongsberg parish records on p. 173 in 1819 Jan 9 baptism. She born Uogte but I'm having a hard time reading the information. I can understand that her mother is Pige Marie Hansdatter but not sure what all else is written. If anyone has skill at reading these church records, could you give it a try? At Ingerborg Syrine's confirmation in Hedenstad parish of Sandsvaer, it shows her father as Petter Jorgensen Langerud. Is this a farm in Kongsberg?
If anyone has information on either Marie or possibly Peter, Petter, Peder, could you please pass it along,
Thank you,

Hello I have try to read the text in the churchbook.I can see that the mothers name is Marie Halvorsen. And that the man thats named as the father was I think Carl Hans Soren.?Maybe its Sorensen. But its says that this is a name the mother said it is.And he was a man that travels a lot.Cant remember how I should put it in english word. But as I can see that he may not have been there when she grow up.He was from Sandsvær. :) I cant find any place in Kongsberg that have the name Langerud. But I cant find her confirmation, maybe I look in the wrong book.Anyway the father must be wrong.Thats because its says different when she is born.I hope someone else can take a look and see what I cant.

There is a note at the bottom saying that Ole Ellefsen has reportet wrong father for the child, and that the correct is Peter Jørgensen Høfdebøe. Here is the farm in 1801 http://digitalarkivet.no/cgi-win/webcen ... 1330#nedre listing Peter/Petter Jørgensen and his family.

David, some more information for you.

I believe you find the marrage of Petter Jørgensen and Maria Hansdatter here: http://www.arkivverket.no/URN:kb_read?i ... _side=-189 no 34. He is then called Kiørstad, maybe because he worked on that farm. She is called Aas. I am not sure that this is the same Maria Hansdatter, but it could be.

Their son Hans Jørgen is baptised here: http://www.arkivverket.no/URN:kb_read?i ... x_side=-47 no 20. Petter is called Laugerud.

Hans Jørgen and his family in 1865: http://digitalarkivet.uib.no/cgi-win/we ... =3576#ovre

A daughter called Anne Johanne: http://www.arkivverket.no/URN:kb_read?i ... x_side=-67 no 58

Anne Johanne and her family in 1865: http://digitalarkivet.uib.no/cgi-win/we ... =3719#ovre

Perhaps sombody could look up the farms Laugerud and Hovdebø in the Sandsvær bygdebok and see if they are mentioned there.

Bjørg,
Thanks for your assistance. You have found a treasure trove for the outlaws. In the 1801 census, says for Petter, Fælles søn, which I think means "Father's son" but does that apply to the other children? I don't think so, because the next child a datter, does not have "Fælles" before "datter"???
Thanks again for all your help.
David

Hi.

The word "Fælles" meens together. Petter is the son of both parents. The other children could have a different father ot mother. But I haven't seen what is written in the census, so I can't be sure.
