Leter etter min tippoldefar Jacob Odin Iversen f: 20 mai 1860.

Han ble født i Vågå, og bodde i følge folketellingen i 1865 på Sjelhaugen gard sammen med foreldren Iver Olsen f: 1825 og Anne Olsdatter (Sandboeiet?) f. ca.1826.

Han og min tippoldemor, Brit Olsdatter Bukkestenen f: 1854, fikk i 1880 en "uægte" datter, Ingeborg.

Jacob utvandret 17 juni 1881, og ifølge Digitalarkivet var målet Pracy, Minesota.

Dette er det siste jeg greier å finne på ham, og det hadde vært spennende å få vite hva som skjedde med ham videre, hvor han bosatte seg, etterkommere o.s.v.

Håper noen kan hjelpe meg med dette, siden det er en gren av familien som ingen vet noe om.

EDITH "IVA" DEMING, 88, of Bluffton, died Sunday, Oct. 31, 2004, 5 p.m., at her daughter's home in Fort Wayne. She was born Jan. 23, 1916, in Minneapolis, Minn., the daughter of the late Nils Edwin and Esther Elvira Constance (Frid-man) Hanson. She was a homemaker and member of First Church of Christ in Bluffton, For Others Mission Circle and the Seekers Sunday School class, at the church, the Scandia Club of Fort Wayne, for over 40 years, Poplar Grove Home Economics Club, for over 50 years, and she provided day care in her home for many years. She married Gerald E. Deming, Nov. 28, 1935, in Hudson, Wis.; he died April 17, 1977. She was also preceded in death by a son, James E. Deming, Feb. 9, 2002. Surviving are children, Judith Ann (husband, Donald) Higgins of Fort Wayne, Jerilyn Kay (husband, Larry) Sheets of Lima, Ohio, John E. (wife, Linda) Deming of Fort Wayne, Joye Denise (husband, Bill) Gardenour of Bluffton; sisters, Inez Sharpe of Bemidji, Minn., Lois Hein of Roswell, N.M.; 11 grandchildren; and 19 great-grand-children. James ?Jim? Edwin Deming, 65, formerly of Bluffton, died Saturday, Feb. 9 at Parrish Medical Center in Titusville., Fla., where he resided.
Mr. Deming retired as an engineer with NASA after 39 years at the Kennedy Space Center.
He was a member of the First Christian Church at Titusville, the American Legion and the North Brevard Men?s Chorus.
He was born at Minneapolis, Minn., and had resided in Brevard County, Fla., since 1964, moving there from Houston, Texas.
Surviving are Betty, his wife of 40 years; his mother, Iva Deming of Bluffton; two daughters, Robin King of Titusville and Joan Davis of Live Oak, Fla.; a brother, John of Fort Wayne; three sisters, Judy Higgins of Fort Wayne, Jerilyn Sheets of Lima, Ohio, and Joye Gardenour of Bluffton; and a granddaughter.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the First Christian Church at Titusville with burial in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens at Titusville.
Calling hours at the North Brevard Funeral Home in Titusville will be Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m.
