Rasmus Svendsen - Høyland

I am looking for information on the above person and his ancestors.

The information that I have is as follows:-

Rasmus Svendsen born 6.3.1830 i Høyland, died 4.7.1898 i Moss Østfold married Maren-Christine Erlandsdatter on 21.4.1861 i Moss. Maren was born 26.5.1826 i Moss died 28.10.1902 i Moss.

Rasmus Svendsens parents were:-

Svend Svendsen Sandved born 5.4.1792 died 21.6.1863 married Rachel Eriksdatter Vagle on 7.7.1843. Rachel was born 19.7.1807 died 9.10.1881.

Any and all help and or advice on locating the above people would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much for your time.

Hi!

Rakel Eriksdotters parents were:

Father:
Erik Jensson Salte, born 1763 in Klepp. Died 07.10.1843 in Høyland. Married 22.11.1797.

Mother:
Anna Hansdotter, bron 1769. Died 17.07.1823.

Erik Jenssons parents were:

Jens Larsson and Barbro Rasmusdotter.


But in my book, ( Høyland Gard og Ættesoge) it says on page 440 that Rakel Eriksdotter married Omund Larsson Skarakleivane in 07.07.1843.

Was the birth of Rasmus Svendsen on 6.3.1830 i your bok as well?? If so can you please check it for me and that I have the correct parents for Rasmus?

More info;

I found Sven Svendsons parents:

Sven Svendson Vagle born 1761 died 1802.
married 19.04.1787 with
Gjertrud Monsdotter Skjørestad born 1761.

I also have more info on their ancestors, but ill write that in later.

I didn't find Rasmus Svenson in my book, but the church records for Confirmations in 1845, clearly states that Sven Svenson and Rakel Eriksdotter Vagle is his parents.

PS! I checked the church records for marriages in Høyland for 1843, and it confirms that Rakel married Omund Larson, not Sven Svenson Sandved.

Mange Takk Jan your hjelp er greatly appreciated. I wonder if Rasmus may have been født i a near by place, it also seems that he was født out of wedlock. Could Omund Larsson har dødt before 1845? Maybe Rakel og Svend got back together after Omund dødt.
