I'm trying to find out more about Kristian Rasmussen Grepperud, from Hemnes
i Høland, Akershus, Norway. He was born in 1782, and I found a record in
the Riksarkivet of military service in 1808-1814. He was a lieutenant, if
my recollection is correct.
I'm looking for more information about this guy. Regiment? Where he saw
action? Where was he when Norway attempted to break free from Sweden at the
time of the 1814 Grunnlov?

You've got your history a bit wrong. In 1814 Norway was ceded to the Swedish
Crown in the Treaty of Kiel as compensation for the loss of Finland to
Russia following the Napolenic Wars. It was a union with a common king but
Norway with the Eidsvold Constitution of 1814 that failed to produce
independence. Norway didn't get free from that Swedish union until 1905. It
is a litttle difficult to separate Norwegian and Danish military service at
that time but there at were some military actions

How so?
Exactly. I thought that some skirmishes took place in 1814. When I
wrote "break free from Sweden", I was referring to the aftermath of the
Treaty of Kiel.

Re: Norwegian ancestor in Danish army 1808-1814
You could try to get hold of Olai Ovenstads "Militærbiografier : den norske hærs officerer fra 18. januar 1628 til 17. mai 1814". It contains family and career information about all(most?) officers in the Norwegian army from 1628 to 1814.
Or you could try to ask if someone could look it up for you in the debate forum at the Norwegian Digital Archives (http://www.digitalarkivet.no/ ). You can write in English.
There is another forum you could try as well at https://slektsforum.slektogdata.no/index.php
Hope this helps.
