I found Juel Monsen and family in the Nord-Aurdal bygdebok. They are in volume D and on page 318 Mons Tordsson Strand and Ingebjør Juelsdatter are listed with their family. Juels born 1846, died 1855, emigrated to U.S.A. I have a copy of his vaccination certificate dated December 28, 1849 that was usually needed when they left the parish. I have not been able to find him in the utflytte register or in the death register.
