Parents of: Pernille Pedersdatter 1762 (wed Ole Ericksen)

I am having trouble determining who the parents of my ancestor Pernille Pedersdatter are (about 1762)

I have 2 guesses:
Peder pederson (1732) and Marithe Olsdatter

OR

Peder pedersen skonhovd (1720) and Johanne Larsdatter (1736)

the likely parish'es are Vardal, Vestre slidre and Biri.


I can not find the births in either the Biri or Vardal parish registers (they are difficult to read)


If it is Johanne Larsdatter then 2 of her great grand children married each other (second cousins).
this would be mattea eriksdatter skonhovd----child of Kari pedersdatter and Hans Olsens' grandchild and Hans Christian gryte- child of Christian Hansen, Pernille's grandchild

I know Johanne had 2 or 3 husbands (according to 1801 census) and I do not know which children belong to which husband.

It is possible, Johanne is only the parent of Kari Pedersen but not Pernille?

Pernille Pedersdatter was born in 1763 and died at Skonnord in Snertingdal (Biri) 1 June ,buried 8 June 1835 ,and was married in Vardal to Ole Eriksen Skonnord 1757-1835. Their oldest son Erik is my ancestor too.
Pernille was the daughter of Peder Pedersen Skonhovd 1720-1763 and Johanne Larsdatter Mæhlum 1736-1827. They were married in Vardal 28 june 1756 ,and Johanne was remarried in abt 1764 to Tollef Christensen Dalborgen 1736-1801. Johane`s children were as follows:

2 Ingeborg Pedersdatter Skonhovd b 1759 d 1809 at Granngard ,Østsinni, Nordre Land
married 1786 to Ole Mikkelsen Granngard 1762-1846, 8 children
3 Pernille Pedersdatter Skonhovd b 1763 d 1835
4 Guri Tollefsdatter Skonhovd b 1765 d 10 dec 1830 at Holte in Vestre Toten married 1788
to Ole Eriksen Holte 1745-1806 and remarried to Herman Olsen Skaugerud 1778-1844
and had 5 children
5 Berte Tollefsdatter Skonhovd b abt 1766 d 1809 at Morterud ,Vestre Toten ,married to
Peder Hansen Morterud b abt 1758. 3 children
6 Ingeborg Tollefsdatter Skonhovd b 1767 ,
7 Peder Tollefsen Skonhovd b 1769 d 1828 married to Oline Pedersdatter Mustad
1773-1843.
8 Christian Tollefsen Skonhovd b 1776.

So ,Peder Pedersen and Johanne Larsdatter were common ancestors
Pernille Pedersdatter and Kari Pedersdatter were siblings.
Pernille`s son Erik Olsen Skonnord 1784-1864 was 1st cousin of Christian Hansen Gryte 1795-1854.
Mathea Eriksdatter Skonnord 1824-1909 was 2nd cousin of her husband Hans Christiansen Gryte.

How are you related to Mathea and Hans? I am a descendant of Mathea`s brother Ole.

I am descended from Matthea's child Christian Hans Hegge.
(He married Berthe Gulbrandsen, child of Agnete Pedersdatter and Helge Gulbrandson (Biri and Buskerud areas)

I think that I may have just received a document from my 1st cousin that maybe you emailed to her in 2007... which lists 2 lines of my Norwegian ancestors (Rudi farm -from Roe, Rogne, Oppland- and the Hegge line- which we share).

I have had the hardest time finding any of the baptism records for Johanne's and Peder's children in the Vardal parish register. I do not read Norwegian and the format of that Kirkeboker is not standard. I am only able to find her marriages, the 1801 census in which Johanne is living with her son Peder Tollevson-- but nothing else.

Yes ,I remember I was in touch with someone descended from Millie Hegge Rudie ,and it might been 2007. .

By the way ,the link you provided didn`t work ,but I have taken a look at it.

When it comes to reading old records ,I am not so good at it either ,but have used slektshistorielaget.no that has the churchrecords for the area transcribed so you don`t need too read old handwriting. It shows nearly of Johanne`s children:
Kari ,christened at Vardal church 20 Mar 1757 ,
Ingeborg ,christened at Vardal church 25 May 1760
Pernille was christened at Vardal church 2 Jan 1763 so possibly born in 1762. In the record she is marked as born illegitimate ,maybe because her father died in january 1763 too???
Guri ,christened at Braastad church in Vardal 3 Mar 1765
Berte ,not found born or christened ,but maybe born abt 1767 or 1773.
Ingeborg ,christened at Hunn Church in Vardal 8 Feb 1767
Peder ,christened at Vardal church 19 Nov 1769
Christian ,christened at Vardal church 21 Apr 1776. Christian died at Skonhovd 6 Jun 1785.
