Hello!

I am looking for the birth place for These two brothers:

Endre O. Strømmen, born Apr 1870 near or in Haugesund
Oluf Strømmen, born 15 Mar 1883 near or in Haugesund

Endre arrived in America in 1891 and used the name "Andrew Strom".

Oluf arrived in New York on 26 May 1900 and used the Name "Olaf Strom".

When Olaf became a US citizen, he said he was Born 15 Mar 1883 in Haugesund.

His WWI draft Registration also shows his date of birth as 15 Mar 1883.

There are several records that say both were born in Haugesund. I am so surprised
you found them in Hordaland.

Sveio is near Haugesund...
I have been searching in Sveio / Skåre / Haugesund the last couple of weeks and knew about the place Strømmen. First parish record I checked

Andrew and Olaf's family can be found in bygdebok Sveio 2, page 256 and page 271 (grandparents u. farm Vestre Vikse.)
Their father, Martines, by accident shot his mother, Anna Katrine, in 1845. She died after 4 hours and Martines had to stay 20 days in prison. From the records:
