SPRINGFIELD - Nicoline Hazel Novy, age 77, of Springfield died at 7:28 p.m. Monday, July 19, 2010, having fun at the place she enjoyed, the bingo hall.

She was born February 16, 1933, in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of Ole and Maja Vinge Langva. She married Frank J. Novy Jr. on May 23, 1953; and he preceded her in death on October 25, 1982.

She was also preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her daughters and son, Marie, Harriette, Frank, and Kathy (husband, Lamb); 12 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and brother, Harold Langva.

Nicoline was a lifetime member of Victory Bingo Hall, and traveled the world with her husband and children. She was a resident of Springfield since 1975.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, July 22, 2010, at Staab Funeral Home. Burial will be at a later date at Camp Butler National Cemetery.

Because of her love of children, memorials may be made to St. John's Children's Hospital.
