We find that Margit Stengrimsdatter was born August 10, 1850, in Krødsherad. Her baptism was September 8, 1850, and confirmation was in 1865, both found in the Krødsherad church records. The parents of Margit Stengrimsdatter were not married.

The father of Margit Stengrimsdatter was Stengrim Olsen Stabbehaugen. He was from Eggedal and we have found his entire genealogy in "Sigdal og Eggedal" by Andreas Mørch.

The mother of Margit Stengrimsdatter was Mari Olsdatter Noreeie of Krødsherad. We have NO information on the ancestry of Mari Olsdatter. When was Mari Olsdatter born? Who were the parents of Mari Olsdatter? We can find no ideas where the ancestry of Mari Olsdatter is in "Krødsherad bygdebok" by Andreas Mørch. They are not listed at the farm Nore.

Anyone have new ideas or can help identify the genealogy of Mari Olsdatter?

Hi.

This is a very difficult one. I did find Margit in 1865 census. She was at time living on a cotterplace called Bratterud under Ørpen farm in Krødsherad. Strange enough that the farmers wife was named Mari Olsdaughter, but not the mother to Margit.

I have som ideas , but it would take time to find those out.

As I see Margit is confirmed in 1865 I see her name is Margit Stengrimsdatter Brattrud. Her mother Mari must have some relation to Bratterud. Another thing: When we look at Margit's birth we see that god-father/mother has names as Smedsrud. Smedsrud is a small place under the farm Nore.....
