Knud Olsen and Rangdi Knudsdatter

Hi,
Knud Olsen and Rangdi Knudsdatter were married on 8 Feb 1807 in Norderhov, however I am not sure where in Norderhov. I am trying to discover who their parents were. Someone on the net has Rangdi's parents as Knud Olsen Lindelibakken (or Bakke) and Barbro Ellevsdatter Buoen. I don't know if this is correct and there is no source for that information. There is nothing regarding Knud Olsen.
Knud Olsen and Rangdi Knutsdatter were parents to Christine Knudsdatter Uggeneiet. At the time of her christening Knud and Rangdi were living at Brevaislieie. It appears they moved around quite a bit considering the locations they were living with subsequent children (however once again this is information off the net and unsourced. Places include Aureeie, Wexal, Aker and Breivasli all in Norderhov - never in the same place). I have found who I believe to be Rangdi in the 1801 census (servant on the farm Bergsrud) but once again have had no luck with Knud. Any help or suggestions would be gratefully received.

According built the book fleece were the parents of Rangdi Knudsdatter Knud Olsen Brekka from Lindlibakken, born 1762 died 1788. Married in Lunner, Norderhov with Barbro Eilev Daughter of Rud in parish valley. Born 1759 Died 1838.

Barbro Ellefsdaughter Buøen, bap 21 of Jan 1759 in Flå was illegitimate daughter of Ellef Kristoffersen Trommaleiet b 1735 and Christi Halgrimsdaugter Buøen born 1739. Barbro died 1838 at Haugen, Lunder parish.


Ellef Ellefsen made an article on her in HRINGARIKI(genealogy) 2001 and her 3 children in her first marriage 16.of July 1785 with her second cousin, Knut Olsen Lindelibakken.

Their Children:, Randi Knutsdaughter bap. 1785, Halgrim Knutsen bap. 1787 and Knut Knutsen bap 1789 and their children.

Barbro's second marriage 1791 to Kolbjørn Gjestsen Haugen and their 2 children: Ole Kolbjørnsen bap 1793 and Kristi Kolbjørnsdaughter 1797 and their children. Lots of them emigrated to Henning area in Minnesota from Strømsodbygda,Lunder(to day Sokna in Ringerike)

Christi Knutsdaughter born 14. March 1823(an older Christi born Breili 1811, possibly died young)
Christi earned at Esgard in Lunder. She had 6 children, but she didn't marry until she had born 4 of them.
1 Karen Randine born 1846, died 1848.
2Ole Petersen born 1851, married 1877 Kari Knutsd. Lappegard from Ål/ Hallingdal. Stayed at Sletager, Lunder.
3Martin Kristoffersen born 1856
4 Hans Kristoffersen born 1860 ( Now Christi married Their father Kristoffer Olsen Silka from Hønefoss)
child 5 Ole Kristoffersen 1863 born at Støveren, Norderhov(Veme) confirmed 1877
6 Maria born 19of Sept 1864 in Eidsgaard, Lunder. Confirmed 1879.

Christoffer Silka was miller and carpenter


Their is a mistake in Church records, Christi's mother Randi is called Sindresdaughter when Christi was baptized.

Hi and thankyou for all that information once again!! I am now however confused as Christine Knudsdatter born in 1811 is the Christine I thought was my gggg grandmother who married Lars Andersen Mandahl on 10 Jan 1838 in Christiania. The 1875 census gives 1811 as her birth year and that she was from Ringerike. Marriage to Lars states her fathers name as Knud Olsen, farmer. As I had someone years ago look for her in the forum here it was Knud Olsen and Rangdi Knudsdatter who they supplied as probable parents:
"Christi, chr. 26. mai 1811 in Lunder church, Norderhov (no birthdates given here)
Parents:: Knud Olsen Breivasli Eie and wife Randi Knudsdtr.
Witnesses: Narve Sindresen Ruds Eie, Tosten Christophersen, Rønnoug Eriksdtr., Kari
Mikkelsdtr. og Christie Engebretsdtr. Norderhov kirkebok 6, 1789-1811, fol. 142 b

MARRIAGE RECORD ;10 Jan 1838 - Lars Andersen Mandahl aged 29 years born in Rommedal and Christine Knudsdatter Uggen Eiet aged 26 years born in Nordrehaug. Lars father Anders Larsen, farmer and Christines father Knud Olsen, farmer.

I am now wondering if there was another Christi/ne born to a father named Knud Olsen in 1811? The 1865 census states 1813 as birth year but I don't think anyone by her name was found with that criteria for that year?? Her age as 26 in 1838 at her marriage also has her closer placed to being born 1811.
Interestingly Christine and Lars also used the name Randine as 2nd name for one of their daughters.

Any suggestions?

In Church record Ministral Norderhov nr 8(1814-1833) I have found confirmation page 720 nr 33 a Christi Knudsdaughter, as servant at the farm, Rud 151/2 years old.
Then comes the problem: Father Knut Olsen Mother Anne Knudsdaughter



There's onother Kristi Knudsdaughter, Blixrudeie moving to Laurvig in 1826, but her age is 26

Ellef Ellefsen who made this document years ago isn't active anylonger. for the moment I haven't any other ideas. I haven't found any Christi born 26.of May 1811, dead in Lunder from 1811 untill 1826.

Thankyou so much for your help!! It is a bit of a poser. The birth I had was from the local archive in Buskerud which another Dis Norge member discovered for me - Norderhov kirkebok 6, 1789-1811, fol. 142 b.

However the confirmation also fits the age.....I am wondering whether the wrong name could have been recorded for her mother. Is the farm Uggen situated anywhere near the farm Rud? The reason I ask is that a witness to Christi's christening on 26 May 1811 was from Rud also.

They are neighbourfarms. As long as the farms are within Lunder District of Norderhov parish the distances are not more than 20- 25 kilometres.EM
