I am tracing the family of Henric Christophersen Grue v. Tiuren. I can't seem to find where Grue v Tiuren is located. Is it a farm or place or a name? He is buried 9 Dec 1775 in Kongsberg.

Henric Christophersen Grue or Tiuren was not buried on the mentioned date. It was his little daughter, Barbara Dorothea, (5 weeks old) who was buried Dec. 9, 1775.

The names Grue and Tiuren could be farm names.

Tusen takk Else! You are correct. I never noticed that I had the same dates for both father and daughter. I guess then I am still looking for his death date.

I am also researching this family. Henric Christophersen Grue was my great-great-great-great grandfather.
He is born ca 1712. He married 25 Aug 1753 Barbro Larsdatter (b. ca 1728 - d. 1768).
They had the children: Christopher 1754, Gunild Cathrine 1757, Else Dorthe 1759, Lars 1762.
Else Dorthe is my great-great-great grandmother.
Barbro died i 1768 and were buried together with her twin-children Friderich and Anna Cathrine on Febr 5, 1768.

Henric married again Sep 17, 1768 to Dorthe Povelsdatter. I have found no children. She died and was buried Jul 16, 1774 at Grue.
Then he married Sep 16, 1775 Helena Christiansdatter Kollert, and they had at least the child Barbara Dorothea, who died in 1775.
Henric died on the farm Braaten in June 1782 and was buried at Kongsberg on June 20.

Thank you for answering my query. Henric Christophersen Grue is my 6th great-grandfather. I am descended from his son Lars baptized 20 may 1764. Henric had three wives, not two. If you send me your email, I can give you more information on this family.
