John J. Ellestad, born abt.1860 - need help!

Hi!
I am trying to find the birth date and parents for John J. Ellestad. He was born about 1860
and went to America in 1864. His father might have been named Hogen, but I am not sure.
I would be grateful for any help locating this family.
