Carelius (Karelius) Olsen

Searching for the baptism of Carelius (Karelius) Olsen, born on August 5, 1854 (according to family) in Åsnes parish in Hedmark. He is the son of Ole Hendrickson and Karen Andersdatter. in 1856 the family emigrated to USA.

Any and all help greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately, the church records from Åsnes between 1849 and 1929 were lost in fire.

Reconstructed records are available from 1866 onwards.

Ole and Karen got a passport in june 1857. They left Norway with 7 children, but the children's names are unfortunately not mentioned.

They lived at a farm named Peistorpet. This farm is mentioned in Åsnesboka.

I see this entry from some years ago. I have 2 children for Karolius and Johanna! I am coming from this family from the two children I know of beginning in USA!
Martin Hagen is a son born 1862. He died 1899 of Typhoid, was married 2 times and had several children. I am in contact with some of them.
Jenny is the other one born 8 Feb 1870. I see her born Stine Johanna. Jenny was married Nordang and then he died and she married again (don't have particulars right here) and moved to Spokane Washington.
Karolius called himself Christian and later Charles O. Haugen/Hagen. He lived with Martin in 1895 on a census near Clitherall in Minnesota, then after Martin died his parents moved in with Jenny Nordang. They also moved to Spokane where Charles died 29 April 1924. Johanna died earlier. This is sparce information for you, but something. Can get more later if someone wants it.
So far I have not seen or looked for other children.

Perhaps this is the wrong Karolius? the one I am talking about should be born 1836. Sorry. He married Johanna Bergersdtr.
