According to family history, Theodore O. Meelberg was born in Strand, Rogaland in 1850 and emigrated to USA in 1885.

We have not been able to find any information regarding his parents, siblings or if he was really born in Strand.

That is the individual we are looking for in Norway. He emigrated in 1885 not 1895. According to his family, he and at least one of his sons were rough characters - mean and nasty. He married Nikoline Berg in North Dakota in 1891, she was 16 years old and he was 40!
