Trond Engebretsen f. 6/3-1841 i Øyer av foreldre Engebret Tronsen og hustru Olea(Olia) Knudsd. Trond var eier av gården Langsveen i Øyer, men iflg Kirkekbok for Øyer utv. han til USA 31/5-1871 etter å ha solgt gården.
Trond skal muligens ha en bror Kristian f. ca 1854 som også har utvandret til USA. Faren Engebret døde allerde i 1867 og ved Oleas dødsfall i 1908 er det opplyst at hun har to sønner i USA. Kristian var gift i USA, men allerede død. Jeg har desverre ikke greid å finne igjen disse. Jeg er takknemlig for all hjelp.
