De døde i en tragisk ulykke den 21.3.1926 i New York hvor også broren Gustav Georg Larsen, f. 1918, døde.  Hendelsen ble omtalt i Nordisk Tidende 25.3.1926 Nordisk Tidende (nb.no)

John O. Larsson mistet altså sine foreldre og sin eneste bror i denne ulykken i en alder av 6 år.

Jeg har ikke funnet hans død på Newspapers.com, men jeg kan ha oversett det. Manglende notis om dødsfallet kan bety at han ikke hadde nære pårørende som satte det i avisa.
