You say he left Norway in 1901 for America, if so, he cannot be in the 1900 census of the USA.

oh, I am sorry. I misformulated.
My great grandmother left Norway in 1901. She got at least two kids with George H Clark. As the census for 1900, I find him living with what seems to be two of his brothers.
From the information I have, my great grandmother also had å relationship to Georges brother, John.

I find the same G H Clark in censius for 1920 but there he is listed as widowed.

In my search for any information of my great grandmothers time in America, knowing a bit more about George and his family might bring med å bit closer. My great grandmother, Marie, returned to Norway in 1906 but I don't know when. She brought with her a daughter, Beatrice and were pregnant with child no 2.

Thankful for any help as I am not that good in searches my self.

Hun er registrert tilbake i Norge i 1906 som innflytter til Åmot, hennes datter het Beatrice Evelyn Clark og er født i Amerika. Hun var gravid med barn nr 2. Conrad Hovard Clark. Begge barna ble satt bort til pleie.

Min oldemor returnerte under navnet Signe Marie Dalberg. (uvisst hvor hun tok navnet Signe fra)

Alle født i Michigan og med far født i Connecticut og mor i Michigan.

Når det gjelder fødselsår for disse er dette angitt som "Un." - antyder vel ikke helt presist?
