Hans Sigvard Eliassen Store-Kalvøy born 30 Jun 1883 in Borgund,
wife Petra Agnete Olivia Knutsdatter born 28 Jun 1877 in Borgund.

Took the name Hansen. Hans Hansen emigrated in 1910 and his wife Petra Hansen followed in 1914 with 3 kids (Nelly, Esther, Kåre).
Apparently 3 other kids born afterwards (acc to family named Palma, Harryet, Stanley).
Ended up in Tacoma, Washington.

A third cousin Petrine emigrated together with them.

Also acc to family Petra died in 1958 and Hans sometime after 1939 (he was on a visit to Norway that year). No living relatives now know about this family.

Kaare Hansson

Kaare, born in Aalesund, Norway, Feb. 22, 1910, went peacefully to
be with his Lord on Aug. 17, 2000. He is survived by his wife of 58
years, Lois; daughters, Corinne Hansson and Barb Delorme, both of
Tacoma; two grandchildren, Nyki and Chase Delorme; many, many
nieces and nephews; and his special “adopted” children, Tom and
Charleene McDonnell (children Jon, Sarah and Matt); and Jacque
Shopher. His enjoyments in life were simple--his friends at church,
spending time with his family, sitting in the garden and making new
friends in conversation at the local mall or on the bus. He was an avid
reader and had, up to the end, a keen memory that anyone half his age
envied. He holds a very special place in many hearts by all those whose
lives he touched. Funeral and graveside services celebrating his long
and wonderful life will be held Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2000, at 2:00 PM at
the Mountain View Valley Chapel. Visitation will be both Sunday and
Monday, Aug. 20 and 21, from 11:00 AM - 9:00 PM. at Mt. View

STANLEY J. HANSSON

Stanley Hansson, born April 16, 1919, passed away at his home on
April 29, 1999, at the age of 80 from cancer. Stan was a veteran of
WWII and owner of Paine Radio in South Tacoma for many years until
his retirement. Stan enjoyed golf, fishing, and especially bowling.
Another major part of Stan's life was his love for his church and the
enjoyment of being an usher for many years there. He is survived by his
wife of 57 years, Alvina; daughter - Sandra (Jim) Swanson, of Everett;
and son - Jim (Jacky) Hansson, of Corona, CA; four grandchildren and
five great-grandchildren; and a brother - Kaare Hansson, of Tacoma.
His family would like to thank Hospice for all their special care and
request any gifts be given in his memory to Assembly of God - North
Shore. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 8th, at 2pm,
at the Assembly of God - North Shore, 5315 - 29th St. N.E., Tacoma,
WA. 98422. Arrangements by Mountain View Funeral Home, 584-

Lois Hansson

Jan. 17, 1919 # Oct. 14, 2005 Lois Hansson, born in
McCluskey, North Dakota, on January 17, 1919, went
peacefully to be with her Lord on October 14, 2005.
She is survived by her daughters, Corinne Hansson and
Barb Delorme, both of University Place; two
grandchildren, Nyki and Chase Delorme; a sister and
brother (Inez Shearer, Tacoma; and Gene Morrow,
Florida); many, many nieces and nephews and extended
family members; and her special "adopted" children,
Charleene and Tom McDonnell (which included Lois'
special grandchildren Jon, Sarah, and Matt); and her
other "special" daughter, Jacque Shopher. Her husband
of 58 years, Kaare Hansson, preceded her home to be
with the Lord in 2000. Her enjoyments in life were
simple # her many years of faithfully attending church
(both Life Center and Covenant Celebration in Tacoma),
spending time with her family, working in the garden,
cooking Sunday dinners, and playing the piano. All her
life, Lois was a wonderful example to all her family
and friends of exactly what faith meansÉshe taught us
all well. She holds a very special place in so many
hearts and will truly be missed by so many. A very
special thanks goes to all the wonderful staff members
of these particular places: Alterra Retirement
Community, The Kensington, Spring Ridge Assisted
Living, University Place Care Center, and St. Joseph
Hospital. You'll never know how much we appreciated
all your care, concern, and help. Visitation will be
from 12-9 pm, Thursday and from 9 am # 9 pm, Friday at
Mountain View Funeral Home. Funeral and graveside
services celebrating Lois' 86 wonderful years of life
will be held at 11:00 am, this Saturday, October 22,
2005, in the Mountain View Valley Chapel. Mom and

Edgar C. Hermansen, 75, of Tacoma died peacefully at home, surrounded by
family, on Friday, August 15, 2003. He was preceded in his death by his wife,
Toni. Ed will be missed by those he left behind: sis Harriet #Tootsie# Hawk of
Lakewood, CA; beloved companion Ordrud #Gertrude# Range; ten children,
Pam, Cantana, David, Larry, Debra, Cindy, Steven, Christina, Marceanne and
Lori; 25 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren. As a U.S. Army veteran of the
Korean conflict, he was awarded the Silver Star and other distinguished
decorations. He was a retired ILWU Local 23 Longshoreman. Dad enjoyed
RV'ing, cooking and food, being handy and card tricks. Most of all, he loved
being with his family and friends. Services will be held on Friday, Aug. 22 at
10:45 am at Tahoma National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be

Marie was born June 1, 1928 in Tacoma and passed away December 15, 1997 in the
Tacoma area after a courageous battle with breast cancer. She is survived by her
husband of 44 years, Edgar, her children; Pamela, Catana, David, Larry, Debra,
Cynthia, Steven, Christina, Marcanne and Lori Sue; 24 grandchildren; 1 great-
grandchild and her loving sister, Harriet Hawk. Our mother was loved so much by all
