Jeg har ikke funnet hans emigrasjon i emigrasjonsdatabasen, heller ikke hans kone eller barn, men jeg går ut fra at kona og barna reiste etter.

I have not found his emigration in the emigrant data base. I have not found his wife and children there eitherm but I guess they went a little later.

I have not found his emigration in the emigrant data base. I have not found his wife and children there either but I guess they went a little later.

The man that wanted the information about what happened to them in the USA, knew nothing more about their destination than what was given in the emigration records.

They came from a place in Høland/Holand in Norway called Haukøya/Haukøen under Soprim. They may therefore have used the name Soprim (or maybe Haukoen)

I hope this information may help a bit.

This may be the correct Andreas and Hans. The only thing that is a bit confusing is that Andreas/Andrew in the 1900 census is said be born Mar 1859 and at the age og 31. He was born Mar 17, 1858, but I suppose that is the kind of mistakes you can find in a census. But in 1900 he should have been 41/42. It is strange the census says he is born Mar 1859, but have the age of 31.

The information about Hans Christian fits well.

This morning I spoke to the lady that wants information about what happened to this family. She is the great-great-granddaughter of Svend Knudsen and Anne Jorgensdtr. She is a descendant of a son of them that stayed in Norway, and the family has never known what happened to the part of the family that went to USA. She would be very happy to know.
