I flg mine opplysninger så reiste Ole Davidsen f. 1814, Kari Steffensdatter f. 1824, deres sønn Steffen f. 1848 og deres datter Marte Marie til USA. Jeg klarer ikke å finne informasjon om når dem reiste over.......og det er det jeg er litt ute etter.

Familien kom fra Østre Toten.

De bodde på Boyd, Minnesota om jeg har rette opplysninger.

How do you know they were in Boyd, Minnesota? Do you have exact birthdates for your people? What else do you know about them? Ole is living with Steffen, his wife and two children in the 1885 census. It appears that Kari is deceased.

Jeg har funnet ut når Ole med familie reiste over, nå er det kun datteren til Ole og Kari jeg leter etter: Marthe (Marte)Marie og hennes mann jeg ikke finner... Jeg vet med sikkerhet at de reiste til Amerika, da det er noen av deres etterkommere som har kontakt med slekten her i Norge - men ingen vet noe om når familien reiste over. I bygdeboka står det at familien reiste i 1889.

Marte Marie født 20.12.1863, hennes mann heter Håken (Haagen) Martinsen, f.22.03.1862 . De reiste over med sine to døtre Beate, f. 21.01.1885 og Karen f. 24.1.1887.

Sorry, that I did write in Norwegian. I did find the information about Ole, Kari and Steffen. But I did not find out about their daughter Marte Marie and I'm searching for her.

Marte Marie was born 20.12.1862 and she married Haagen (Haaken) Martinsen born 22.03.1862. They did travel to USA with their two children Beate born 21.01.1885 and Karen born 24.1.1887.

How is it when people died earlier in your country, did they got registrated? It is some people I'm looking for and they died before the 1930's. I mean, for example Ole and Kari, is it possible to find out when they died? I did find some other people in the death index at ancestry.com...

How do you know that Hagen and Marte came to the USA? Have you found them leaving Norway? If so, from where? Where did it say they were going? When did they leave?
I understand names and dates, but not always the context of what is being said.

I find this person, which is interesting. She is the only Martinsen buried in that cemetery, no dates.
