Tonges of Eccles, Salford, Lancashire

I have been researching the Tonges of Salford, Eccles Parish in
Lancashire and their early names are Petri Tonge bc 1589, Hendricus/
Hendrici married Catherena/ Elizabetha Pendletone 1611, Johannes
married Kathrena Byrch 1578. Does anyone know the origins of this line
of the Tonges as their first names appear to be of Dutch/Flemish
origin? They appear to be a very different line to the Tonges of
Middleton.

I would also appreciate it if anyone could tell me the origin of the
surname Tong, Tonge, Tongge and Tongue as they are variously listed.
