FTM Pictures

Hi All,

Can anyone tell me how to locate the file in FTM that contains my pictures.
For the life of me I cannot open anything which lists the hundreds of photos
that I have in my FTM scrapbooks.

The pictures are in your ftw data file. You can get a list of the people
who have pictures by clicking on Report, then Custom. Set up Name and any
other info you want on the report. Choose Individuals to Include, then use
the arrows to move any people that might be on the right side of the list to
the left. Then choose Find>> and look down the list for Preferred Picture
for Home Page - highlight it. On the right you'll have a choice of
Individuals who have one or Individuals who don't.

This will let you know who has at least one Scrapbook picture, but you'll
have to go to the individual to see what the pictures are. There is no way
of getting a list of the picture filenames themselves.

Hi Candy,

Thank you. I thought there was a problem. I was going to try and put them
all on a DVD so I could set up a automatic rotating picture show. I wish I
had put the photos in Legacy with an available file.

I think the FTM images are "thumbnail" type with much less resolution than

the originals. Including them in the data file also makes it large. It is
one of the reasons that I have stayed with Legacy.

Hi Candy,

Thanks for the details on how to sort people with pictures. At least I know
who has them as you say.

I will have to sit here for a day and transfer some of my pictures to Legacy
or one of my other programs that I want to use on my DVD .
