Load BVRI on HDD?

Just got BVRI but swapping 16 CDs in and out is ridiculous. Is there a way
that they can all be transferred to the HDD and still be recognised by the
viewing software?

Thanks Huw. Followed the instructions from the both the CD and from
Rootsweb but in both cases when I started I got the message that I needed to
upgrade to ver 4.2 of the viewer. Needless to say doing this had no effect
and the same message keeps coming up. Do you know of any other sites with
instructions?

This means you need to run install on the first disk in the BVRI set

which will automatically upgrade your viewer.

No, I've run Update on Disk 1 countless times but when I then run the Viewer
it nevertheless says that you (still) need to upgrade to ver 4.2

I have seen the advice somewhere or other
totally uninstall viewer
before updating after a reinstall

Thanks Hugh, that did the trick. Not enough to uninstall and reinstall the
viewer, you have to go back to a Restore Point before the viewer was
originally installed and start all over again.
