Other family resources to archive: audio, video, seeds, heir

The AncientFaces and DeadFred websites are helping ancestral photos
from being lost and helping descendants find ancestral photos. But I'd
like to see similar on-line, searchable databases for other family
resources.

1) Audio files (MP3?) of ancestors

2) Video files of ancestors

3) Seeds and bulbs - I prize the lilies in our garden which came from
bulbs from my g-grandmother's garden (ca. 1900). I'd like to see a
database of heirloom seeds and bulbs, searchable by genealogical
information about those who grew them.

4) Heirlooms - Old photos are often sold in antique shops as cheap
"instant ancestors" once no one is able to identify them. In the same
way, family heirlooms end up in estate sales when no one remembers or
cares about who used to own them. I'd like to see a central registry, a
sort of first warning against this problem, in which people could
record, "I somehow have Joe Schlemiel's (1798-1871) cufflinks, which I
want give or sell to one of his descendants before my kids put them on
eBay."
