I want to do a simple search in Legacy and can't figure out how.
I simply want a list ... or set a tag for ... all people
who have no "general" source.
I would also take a list of all who do have a general source.
I can do this for each individual source type, but not for "any".
Obviously, I simply want to see if I have missed a source for anybody.

From the Master Source List, select ALL the Master Sources (select the top
source, scroll to the bottom of the list, and shift-select the bottom source).
Then click Show List. You now have a list of all individuals with one or more
sources. You should be able to figure out what to do from here...

A short time ago I suggested that Legacy should have a search function
to check for any fact/event, including name, which did not have a
source. Sherry said she would pass this along.
I presume she did but I have no response whether Millennia plans to
incorporate the search. So I use another program which does have the
function.
I found that I had no sources for 23, single spaced, pages for
marriages, divorces, etc. I also had no sources for hundreds of names
which the program did not search for but were noted while editing my
data base. I've spent several weeks but the missing sources are down
to about 2 pages now and there seems to be a problem with the search
function. The sources for those two pages are there but the program
pickes them up anyhow.

Re: Legacy search question
Thanks from me as well, Dennis, works just fine. If you tag everyone
then you can see in the Name List who hasn't got a source
allocated........wonderful
