Help w/WP-11 fubar

Legg inn av singhals » 22. mars 2005 kl. 16.05

I created a doc using OCR. I converted the OCR.txt file to WP. I was
scrolling down.

Wham

The entire document greyed itself out, the font shrunk to illegible, the
page size is roughly 1/3 the horizontal screen.

I closed w/o saving. Re-opened. Same issue.

Shut down, rebooted. Re-opened WP, re-opened doc. Same issue.

Opened a different doc -- same issue.

Anti-Virus and Anti-ads are current, as of Sunday night.

I just went to Corel's site and can't find an e-mail us choice. It
wants me to log in but I can't find my user-id/password, and because do
have one, it's not gonna let me create a new acct. with the same e-mail
and address info.

Anyone know how I fix my file?

Cheryl

I can probably yank it into WORD just as easy, but since what ever
happened seems to happen to ANY currently open doc, I have to fix it or
I can't use WP again.

The problem sounds like an issue with WP instead of the document itself.
If you can open the docuement without any problems in Word/wordpad/etc.
You might have to re-install or fix the WordPerfect.

OpenOffice (http://www.openoffice.org Originally developed by SUM
Microsystems) is a open source Office Product to rival MS office
including the editing and saving of curremt MS documents.

Good Luck

Hi,

I have been using WP for about 13 years and haven't come across a problem
like that before, although I am still using v9.

Maybe ensure that the zoom level is normal, say 100%, or maybe ensure that
the "shrink to fit" feature is off.

If you go to http://www.corel.com click on "Support", then click in "Read more"
under the Knowledge Base heading and do a search, you may find a solution.
You don't need to create an account to search the Knowledge Base.

As it happens, Bret...! You win the 1-hr-free research prize. (g) In
utter desperation, I started looking at all the options starting at
"file", and changing them one by one -- yes, the Zoom had changed to 50%
and upon changing it to 100% my documents are all now fine.

No clue why using the vertical scroll wheel would change the zoom level,
but obviously it did ...

The Knowledge base search returned 2 and only 2 hits on "greyed out" and
asking questions on the ng required a log-in.

Thanks!

Cheryl

Holding down the CTRL button allows the scroll wheel to change the
magnification in a number of programs. This allows you to easily zoom
in and out in a document/web page.
