I saw this announcement on Freshmeat.net
for a Pre-Alpha software release of this Genealogy program.
Does anyone have an opion on this program, it looks to be interesting but
still early days for what it is trying to do.

About:
GeneaPro is a multi-user, cross-platform Genealogy database program based
on the GenTech Genealogical Data Model. It is written in Java using the
Eclipse Rich Client Platform (RCP), Hibernate persistence, and SQL/JDBC
databases (HSQLDB, MySQL, or PostgreSQL).

Release focus: Initial freshmeat announcement

Changes:
The general format and direction of the project were prototyped. This
release featured the use of the Eclipse Rich Client Platform (RCP), the
use of Hibernate as a data persistence layer, and the inclusion of HSQLDB
as an internal database, allowing the program to run standalone with only
Java as a prerequisite on Windows and Linux systems.
