non gen: Outlook email question

Legg inn av Jon Burke » 10. desember 2004 kl. 12.52

Hi Folks

I'm in the process of clearing out a large number of old emails. When
I've done that I would like to easily identify the couple of dozen or
so messages that need replying too, within the few hundred that will
be left. Consequently is there a way to

a) Preferably, list my emails so that ONLY the emails I mark as Unread
are listed but all the others are just hidden?

b) Alternatively, list my unread emails first?

I know I could create a new folder, pasting or copying all my unread
messages into that folder until they're dealt with. But that would
mean having to create the folder then make sure I'm keeping it
updated, so if there is an easier method using one of the two listing
methods described above, I would prefer that.

I confirm that I've consulted the Outlook help files, but with no
luck, before posting this question. I should also point out that I'm
using Outlook 2002 on Windows xp and not Outlook Express.

Many thanks in advance for any info or advice offered.

Best wishes all

Jon,

Just use the little flag at the top of the message on the Subject, From,
Sent line. Left Click with the mouse to the left of the Subject of the
particular message you wish to "Flag", and directly under the Flag. You
will get a small red flag out to the left of the message. Let me know if
you have a problem.

Good luck.

May not have been clear. That would be the little flag at the top of the
window that shows all of your messages.
