Hi all,
A new resource on the web is GenealogyBuff.com http://www.genealogybuff.com
Aside from the growing library, there is a surname tool which allows you to
scan many online databases, large and small for your surname...very quickly.
Hope this helps.

I haven't explored the entire site, but what I have seen has lots of
links to online resources and the free/paid resources are marked as
such.

Example:
When was the last smallpox epidemic in the US?
http://www.genealogybuff.com/epidemics.htm

I gave the site a pretty good workout this morning and I found it well
worth the time I spent.

I didn't find any startling revelations but I found a number of
"fillers" for several lines and finding anything I can use is rare.
