This should be easy & I have looked around on the web, but with no
success, so here goes....
I am using Legacy v6 for my first family tree efforts & have ~100
individuals. One ancestor married twice, and I don't know how to record
this. I tried recording the second marriage but it simply replaced the
first as far as I can tell.
Also, I have two conflicting dates for my great-grandfather's birt - on
his birth certificate and his parish baptism record. I presume the birth
certificate takes precedence but is it possible to record both? OTOH I
suppose I could simply attach a note to his christening date to mention
this.
Thanks for your thoughts,

In Legacy click on Help > Contents > Using Legacy > Step by Step
Instructions > Where it all begins > The Family View > Look for the
paragraph Button Bar and under Spouse you'l find the information you want.
For the conflicting birth date you could use the Alt. Birth Event.

I think your entry would have worked just that you cannot see it.
You are probably looking at in Family View
Click the Pedigree tab and that view should show both marriages
Or click right on the man and there in the options is view "wife list".
similar for the woman.

Re: Legacy - serial marriages
When you put in a marriage the little "person" icon in that persons detail
box becomes coloured and the number 1 shows next to it.
When you add another marriage you will see the number 2 next to the icon.
If you click on the person icon you will get a list of marriages which you
can sort by date, set the preferable one etc.
A good idea with any new program is to go around all the screens and see
what is available where.
Exploring with no data input will never ruin anything - just remember to hit
cancel when you want to close things. legacy is very good for that - you
can cruise around through all the screens and then cancel out of them
without doing any damage.
