Putting my tree on my webpage

Legg inn av Dave Croft » 14. mai 2006 kl. 12.13

A good number of years ago I used Gendesigner 2.0 to put my web onto my website.
See http://homepage.ntlworld.com/davecroft/ ... Pindex.htm
That version is not available anymore & I was wondering what programs are available
to do the same or better nowadays.
My current tree is on Ancestry Family tree & Personal Ancestral file.
What is the best way (& cheapest way) to redo my tree on the website.
TIA

Take a look @ http://www.vancoilge.net/ (Stamboom) and look if the
result is what you want.

It's made with Pro-Gen à la carte. Dutch, but also available in
English and many other languages:

If you like the output why not just use the latest version?

My choice when I first made my genealogy website was "GED2WWW". It's a
free utility that will take a Gedcom and convert it to an entire
website. The page output is in family group sheet format with six or
seven per page, all completely linked. The pages are easily edited as
new information is found or corrections need to be made. [ Which I have
done plenty of ] It leaves certain information out of people that are
still living, or born less that something like 75 years. Not the most
sophisticated piece of software you will ever own, but it works.

Check out my pages at:
http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com ... index.html
Keep in mind that a lot of these pages have been heavily edited, but
the basic format is the output of the program.

I am using gedcomToHtml 1.5.2a (c) Dan Pidcock 1997-2001
(teh a is a local modification to handle christening)

This is a perl program to generate a web site, available from
http://www.pidcock.co.uk/gth/
