FTM picture

Hi All,

When I save picture files into my FTM scrapbook they seem to open always
over 100%. Of course you can zoom in to make them the right size but it is
annoying when playing a slideshow of a person's scrapbook with several
pictures and they are all distorted while viewing.

It is pleasing to be able, after someone's suggestion on this newsgroup, to
be able to save into Roots Magic and the pictures are all there in a file
and
at the correct size but sometimes I still use FTM.

Any ideas.

Regards
Kaye Payne

(Still using ' takes forever - dial up internet in the bush' - anything over
1 MB takes a lifetime to download @ 7.2 kbps.)

FTMs scrapbook viewer (I'm looking at the 2005 version) is random and

annoying.

1. The window that opens can't be resized.
2. The picture that opens in the window is based on the window size that
is pre-set and can't be changed
3. Selecting zoom in or out doubles (or halves) the image size - try to
get 100%!!

Don't use FTM (at least for pictures)

Thanks Paul,

You might have told me that before but this time I will copy the advice into
the correct folder.

It would seem sensible for FTM to show pictures correctly but at least the
roots Magic works well.

Thanks.

yes keep them seperatley and I love FTM 2006

there are issues of how much compression

If I wanted to make an illustrated tree or book
I would export a new file and and add the pictures to the duplicate
file only

there is a dialogue box about the amount of compression you may chose to use

see help files
