Reunion users: dissociate wrong father

For you Reunion users:

I'd like to dissociate a father from a child now that I know he was the
stepfather, and re-add him as the second spouse of his wife, without losing
the info I've added in for him. Is there a quick way to do this?

Go to the child's card
From the Relation button (+) just above the child's name select

Existing Father
The Index window will open where you can navigate to the real father's
entry.
Click that name.
You will be prompted as to how you want to handle this transaction,
either duplicate or move.
Select move.

The child will now appear under the correct father.

That's what I decided to do after reviewing that option. The child (who was
born in Chicago 1911 and died in Los Angeles in 1962) likely didn't know
she was the daughter of someone else, a fact that appears to have been kept
well-hidden by the family until now.

In fact I'm not sure that I have the actual father's correct name either,
but it's all I've got. The mother was listed as a widow of the fellow in
the 1912 Chicago directory. I can't find a trace of him, nor any marriage
to my ancestor or his death record. Perhaps he was invented to cover an
out-of-wedlock pregnancy; that seems the likeliest scenario for now.

Of course being listed as a widow doesn't necessarily prove that she was
ever married, either.

The fact that I can't locate any fellow of the right name, of the likely
right age, no marriage record, no divorce record, no death record for the
fellow, suggests that he was either very slippery or very made-up. I'm
leaning toward the latter, but I could be wrong.

In case he ever emerges from obscurity at least he'll be in the database!
