How does one type text in fields using control-keystrokes (umlauts, etc.)?

Where's the birthdate calculator (when death date and full age is known)?

Thanks, but I should have specified the platform, which is not Windows
but Macintosh.

The usual Mac procedure (option-u-u for a ü for instance) doesn't seem
to work within the fields of the Reunion database. Is there a way to do
it without cut/paste?

Type the full age into the birth field if the death field is already
entered. The same works for the death field if birth is known.

I've got a GEDCOM of my information, and also lots of photographs to go with
it.
Best way to achieve this - any suggestions welcome

The answer begs the question, which software package are you using? If

you are using a shareware program such as PAF then just leave the data
in the program and send them a backup of your data and tell them to
download and install the software. If you are using a non-shareware
program then then should still download PAF, or something like it, and
use the gedcom to import the data.

As another poster mentioned, it depends to some extent on what you use
for record keeping software. Can you produce a web site with what you
use? If so, what about producing a site on your hard drive and then
burning it to CD?
Most programs will let you link photographs to a person or event.
