Anyone still using Gary Bonham's Gedcom Explorer?

I still find occasions to use Gary's fine program, but now that I'm
trying to make some macros for it, I'm finding that I really am
missing a lot of information. Accordingly, I'd very much like to share
information with other users, particularly about how to construct
macros.

His help files on macros have enough information to get me started...
but there is (I think) something missing. In one of Gary's newsletters
that he sent out, there is an interesting statement.

"Anyone who wishes to get into macro writing should email me for a
copy of a doc file on macros."

Is there anyone out there who might have a copy of that Doc file, and
would be willing to share it? If so, I'd really appreciate sending me
a copy.

You can send it to my Yahoo mail address, as the address I use in
posting to the newsgroup is obviously not valid. use

I'd also like to try to determine what became of Gary. Another GEDX
user told me that Gary was very ill the last time she heard from him.
She doesn't remember exactly when that was, but it was before May 31,
2004. The last email communication I had with him was May 31, 2003. So
right now I have a full year time span during which he disappeared. I
do know that Gary was living in Lake Forest, CA 92630 at one time. On
the "off chance" that someone at his old address might know how to
locate him, I called them and left a message. So if you have any clues
about Gary, either mail me at the address I gave above, or better yet,
post them and we can all try to solve this mystery.

Update....

I was able to contact the person now residing at Gary's old address.
She told me that she bought the house from Gary's family after he
died, in about July 2003. She gave me a few clues on how to locate his
wife, which I'll be following up on, and if I find anything about his
software, I'll post that information here.
