Searching for Info For Andrew Tarnowski (Audzij Tarnawski) F

I contacted my local LDS center and I was told that the LDS have not been
granted permission to scan the records from this area of Poland.

I have found the passenger ship records from 1913 when Andrew (or Audzij
Tarnawski) Tarnowski arrived in Canada with his wife Sophie and 3 children
John, Olga and Joseph. Andrew was born in the villiage of Tapin in 1876
(this info ws on his death record).

Andrew applied for a Homestead in 1913 and was granted a patent in 1914 in
Malonton, Manitoba, Canada.

Andrew died in 1930 in Malonton, Manitoba and I requested his death records.
His parents are not listed. This is the information I need so I can
continue my search in this branch of our family tree.

Any advice or help in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

Polish telephone directory at http://www.ksiazka-telefoniczna.com/ has one
Tarnowski listing in Tapin. Call your cousin. No address is shown. Let me
know if you need help with the directory.

D: Have you read the passenger manifest? They are similar to US ones
and ask names of next of kin and where. Also suggest you get on
mailing list for area of your interest in Poland at rootsweb.com
