Hello,

Is there anyone who owns the Våler bygdebok who would be willing to do a
quick lookup for me? The information I found says this book is indexed and
I am looking for Christen Andersen who married Martha Olsdtr. on 20 June
1859. I do not know much of Christen Andersen, but Martha Olsdtr. was born
in Hof parish, 19 Apr 1839. I am trying to find information about the
children of Christen Andersen & Martha Olsdtr. Thank you very much!

Våler Bygdebok is not indexed for persons, only farms. The information is
scarce concerning children.

But I looked up the church book for Våler and found: Christian Andersen
Risberget, 33 years old, married 20.06.1859 to Marthea Olsdatter Halberget,
20 years old. His father was Anders Andersen Gravberget and her father was
Ole Andersen Halberget.

Children: Kristian got a child, Adolph, out of wedlock 21.06.1854. Kristian
was then a bachelor and sevant at Risberget farm. The mother was Anne
Mathisdatter Risberget.

Children of Kristian and Martea: Anne born 22.09.1859 Halberget, Christiane
born 19.05.1861 Halberget, Ole born 03.04.1863 Halberget - the father
mentioned as a cotter.

I find no more children, nor do I find them in census 1865. Means they
emigrated before 1865?

Thank you very much, Arild! The information I have is that they emigrated
in October 1866 from Kristiania, so maybe they were already in this city by
1865 and not in Våler for the census? I appreciate your taking the time to
look in the church books.
