Gard navn - Vefald?

Hei ~

We are trying to help someone trace their ancestry and they have the farm name of Vefald, and said that the ancestors are from the Bergen area.

But we have not been able to find any farms with this or similar names in the area. Does anyone have any suggestions?

PS ~ We did find Vefald farms in Telemark fylke.

I don't think there is any Vefald in the districts around Bergen. The closest I can find is Vedfjell in the Myking part of Lindås.

In the 1865, 1900 and 1910 censuses it's written Vedefjeld, in 1801, Wedefield.
